Lisa Kaspin-Powell:
Medical & Scientific Writer / AIAA LA-LV

Lisa is a Medical Writer with McKesson Life Sciences, specializing in oncology. She is also a contributing author to Astrobiology Magazine (transitioned to NASA’s Astrobiology website).

Lisa previously served as a Medical Writer at Oxford Pharmagenesis and Motive Medical Intelligence, and as an Medical Editor at Cerner Corporation. Lisa has also worked as a Technical Writer for the Global Aerospace Corporation.

After earning a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University, Lisa performed postdoctoral research in various aspects of cancer biology before transitioning into scientific writing and editing.

In addition to serving as the AIAA LA-LV Section Newsletter Editor, she serves as the Vice President and Newsletter Editor for the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Space Society (OASIS).
