Apollo SkyLab Survey
The crew of an Apollo Command Service Module conducts and external inspection of SkyLab, the United States’ first space station. In 1973-1974 three crews lived and worked in SkyLab, with stays of 28, 56, and 84 days. The crews conducted numerous experiments in Earth, space, and solar science, life sciences, and materials sciences. The experiments included 19 student-submitted experiments. The SkyLab orbit decayed over time and re-entered the atmosphere in July 1979.
